Terms of Service

Age requirement

HouseOfGrapplers is for users 13 years of age and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 13. Accounts created by or for minors under 13 will be deleted upon discovery, along with any associated data. Parents and coaches who want to track a child's training should do so under their own account; the Service is not designed to host or process data about children under 13.

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using HouseOfGrapplers ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of service

HouseOfGrapplers is a management platform for martial arts academies. We provide tools for member management, scheduling, attendance tracking, belt progression, curriculum planning, community engagement, and billing.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Academy data

You retain ownership of all data you input into the platform, including member records, class schedules, and community content. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your academy data.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Upload malicious code or content
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

Optional add-ons

The HouseOfGrapplers platform itself is free. Optional, opt-in capacity add-ons (for example, additional video storage or SMS volume) may be billed through Stripe on a pay-for-what-you-use basis. You can turn add-ons off at any time; charges stop at the end of the current usage cycle. Refunds on add-ons are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Academy payments via Stripe Connect

Academies that collect dues, event fees, or retail payments from their students through HouseOfGrapplers do so via Stripe Connect. By onboarding a connected account, the academy enters into a direct relationship with Stripe and agrees to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe Services Agreement.

• Stripe is the payment processor and is responsible for PCI compliance, card data handling, and the underlying movement of funds.
• HouseOfGrapplers is a platform facilitator. We are not a party to the transaction between an academy and its student or customer.
• The academy is the merchant of record for dues, event fees, and retail sales. The academy sets its own pricing, schedules, and refund policy.
• Refunds, chargebacks, and payment disputes are managed by the academy using Stripe's tools. HouseOfGrapplers does not arbitrate disputes between academies and their members.
• Academies are responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable taxes on dues, event fees, and retail sales.

Service availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HouseOfGrapplers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
